When it comes to finishing your basement, the sky really is the limit when it comes to what you can imagine and what our team of basement finishing experts can accomplish. One very popular idea that we get a lot is transforming a basement into a game room that the whole family can enjoy. All it takes is a little brainstorming with one of our sales guides and you and your family will be well on its way to enjoying a brand new room filled with games that the whole family can enjoy.

The term “game room’ can mean a number of different things and the amount of square feet you have to work with will dictate exactly what you’ll be able to do. Let’s look at a few different ideas depending on the amount of space you have to work with. As usual if you have a larger basement, the sky truly is the limit. A large finished basement can accommodate just about anything you’d like. You can easily fit a pool table, an ice hockey table, and depending on the ceiling height, you could even install a mini basketball hoops game. If you have a medium sized basement, you can still fit gaming tables but you’ll need to be more aware of the space they take up. instead of several full sized gaming units, you might want to consider smaller installations. A pool table might take up too much space, but you might be able to install stand up video games or a pinball machine or two. For some people they would prefer electronic games so a medium sized basement is perfect for a few arcade games.

If you have a smaller basement, but you insist on turning your brand new basement into a gaming room, you need not fret, there are still plenty of options. With a smaller basement you’ll likely have trouble fitting any larger gaming tables like a pool table or an air hockey table, but you can easily do something digital. For instance, a large TV connected to a gaming console or two is the perfect solution to a tight space. Another option is a computer gaming table with multiple screens. That type of setup is easily placed in a corner leaving room for other options or a sitting area.
